Monica Hobbs has been a triathlete for 6 years and a Trident member since 2009. She is passionate about healthy living, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals, no matter what they might be. She believes that you can truly do anything you set your mind to, and that if you believe it, you can achieve it! In 2007, Monica weighed over 260 lbs and decided to begin the journey to change her life and become healthy and fit. Her journey began simply by walking, then completing her first triathlon in 2008, and she is now a 2x Ironman finisher. During this journey she has lost 100 lbs, and maintained her weight loss for several years. As a single mom who works full-time, through years of trial and error, she has discovered how to maintain balance in her life and she now has a passion to help others create balance while becoming the person they desire to be while reaching their goals.
Monica is a USAT Level 1 certified coach, Team in Training certified triathlon coach, has taken courses in nutrition and mental coaching, is CPR certified, and will continue to further her education and knowledge in health and fitness for years to come.
